MoneyGram® Money Transfers App App Reviews

After downloading software and entering all personal information the app transaction was not being processed with the app. Called money gram and they could not resolve the issue.

Im trying to sign up for the service and its not even working, it lets me enter my info, but when I press Next it does nothing! Its disappointing!!!!!

Yesterday was my first time using the app and I assure you, it will be my last. What I thought would be a fairly simple process (sending $40 to a friend that asked for a loan) turned into a huge headache. From the invasive questions from multiple customer service representatives (that seriously need training on how to interact with other human beings; Ive never had the misfortune of interacting with such robotic people before. They seriously all repeat the same lines as if reading from a MoneyGram Customer Service 101 handbook) before I could even send the money, to my transaction being subjected to additional security screening AFTER sending the money, finally ending with my transaction ultimately being denied without me being made aware due to MoneyGram "not being comfortable" with the transaction. Now Im sitting with my money in limbo as I await a refund. My first and last time using this service.

Their service is great but the app is not. Its full of bugs and need a major update to support new convenience features to users.

No data persistence. Using the back button logs you out so in order to use it I had to sign in more than several times. Couldnt cancel a transaction. Forget the app. Use the web interface on an actual computer.

Suppose to be easy. I sent transaction, 1hr later email tell me to call to confirm, call and they ask privacy questions, so dumb, so i cancel transaction and delete app

Worst app Ive ever downloaded and customer service is not trained nor capable of fixing any issues. I will no longer use Moneygram.

I dont know where all this negative comments are coming from last night I use it to send money overseas i was done in five minutes and everything went smooth this app its going to save me time going down to the store and waiting in lines this is so convenient. Great job!

If you are going to consolidate rewards number with online account, its logical to bring the receivers list along. Its BS to not find these users in the app. Second, the dam app logs you out faster than the monkey in Journey to the West can blink Unable to see any account details on the app. Change phone numbers etc. You are better off pulling this POS from the App Store if you are content with limiting features in this age of Apps with rich features. Also, find and pay better programmers to design the app. Pathetic!!

I used to use western union and never had a problem. I decide to use this because the fees looked lower. That was a very bad decision. After wasting my time with a lot of questions. My transaction was denied for no reason. I had to call them and waste more time in order to get my money back. Just a waste of time.

Wont let people without social security number use the app

Cant sign up online, tried the app, same garbage. Pathetic.

I was extremely hesitant to use this app since there are so many bad reviews, but the money was transferred in a matter of minutes and I didnt have to answer extremely complex questions or talk on the phone with anyone. I will definitely be using this app in the future.

I login to check my transaction history, I hit the back arrow so I can then make a payment, but I have to login once again. Its not convenient, its time consuming & the extra steps are not necessary. The Prism app charges $3 more then MoneyGram to make the same payment via their app, its so much more convenient that I dont mind paying the extra dollars if it means I can easily make my payment. Please MoneyGram, I would like to continue to be your customer, add TouchID!

I downloaded the app and I tried to send money. I completed the process and within 10 minutes my bank called me and said there is fraud on my account. So I called the corporate money gram phone number and I searched for the transaction. I came to find out that they do not have any record of my transaction. So I had to stop the transaction through my bank. I was being lazy, I should have just went to the store and paid $11.50 instead of the $30 this app was trying to scam me for on top of the $300 I was trying to send.

Overall it was a pretty good experience. Didnt like the verification phone call but it took only 5 mins.

I downloaded the app I sent a money transfer overseas to someone I have sent money to before it had me answer 10 or 12security questions dating back 30 years it had on me which I did answer all correctly it indicated that it went through fine so I emailed customer and told them their payment was made then later even after getting a confirmation number and everything I later got an email that said it was not paid and there was an error to call their 800 number.talk to customer service who could barely speak English and could only tell me that the system had deleted my account I tried five times to get information as to what happened to my account and they hung up on me all five times so I called my bank and my bank warned me against using this app

Do not use this app to send money. For 5 hour I try to send money after sign up. It was failed. Very bad.

Great for paying bills. It does what its supposed to do, well.
