MoneyGram® Money Transfers App App Reviews

I am a MG+ member for more than 10 years. When I saw the 1 star rating for the app I knew it would have problems, but how ridiculously bad it turned out to be is amazing. The account setup is painfully inadequate. It does not ask for the plus membership number so it can retrieve your info. Then when I found the way to link my plus membership, it let me complete the registration three times and congratulated me. But when I would try to login, it would respond that the records indicate Im not registered. Please, hire some competent people to manage your Info Sys department and app.

Downloaded the app, tried to create a account and nothing worked. I did it two times, through the webpage and through the app and nothing seem to work. The page and the app were not responding.

Its such a PIECE OF CRAP APP DO NOT WAST YOUR TIME

I thought it was going to be an easy smooth transaction. But being that this was my first time sending money through this site i had to call and give the people on the other end personal information. In which they sound like a robot on the phone. I was asked to give explanation. To whom and why am i sending the money and if i was goin to send more in the future. And what is my relationship to the person sending the money and how long i havent seen that person. I feel like it was too much questions. Crazy it was to my sister i kept telling them. Why so many questions. Will prefer to go in person.

Never recommended this app because. Im send money before asked my personal information afyer that send me email in say call the company. I waste

Tried to input my bank account. It failed. Contacted customer support, they said the site was down. Tried again a few days later, still didnt work leading me to believe the first customer "support" agent was just lying to close the call quickly. Unusable. I have a large bank which should work. Doesnt. May be an attempt to change higher fees by forcing you to use a credit card. Will be deleting from my phone.

App continuously kicks you out, saying due to inactivity.

The app kinda works. But the MoneyGram service is terrible. They will decline every online transaction even to family members. They want you to pay cash at an agent location. This way they can charge higher transaction fees. Dont waste your time here. I would rate 0 stars if I could!!! -very disappointed.

I would stay away from these transfer agencies. I use Western using for two months and after two months they started declining my transactions to the same person so I stopped using Western Union and I tried money gram on my first transaction with money gram I was told to call and I was put on hold for 30 minutes then was asked 10 questions by someone who can barely speak English and then I was declined my first transaction what a waste of time I want all my time back and the guy hung up on me because I was frustrated! Money gram and Western Union terrible I would not waste your time using these type of money transfers! totally unreliable.

They seem to be able to get your private informations from "public record" but cant tell you which public record it came from. They cant even tell you your name. It is just a huge scam!!! And when you call the customer service, they wont even tell you their own names. This service is a scam. Apple should just take this app down!!!

I use money gram all the time. I send money to my loved ones through this service on Regular basis. Calling the customer service. Answering very personal questions(like another reviewer said). Obviously they need money!!! Thats why Im sending it through you! Paying you to send my loved ones $$$. What a waste. Ill just go in the store site from now on!!!!

Wasted 30 minutes on phone with someone who barely spoke English after my transaction was cancelled. Ended up doing it at a store location. I never write app reviews but the experience wasted my time so heres 5 more minutes of it.

The online process of entering your information seems as if everything will be quick and easy. But soon after youll receive an email advising you to call customer service in which youll have to provide delicate & personal info. The customer service is horrible. They get upset with you for being causations and asking questions. They also leave you on hold for long periods of time "the escalation department" and return to the to pretend they cant hear you just to hang up on you. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Needed to send money Asap and did it on my iPhone online. So quick and easy with an email confirmation. Not too familiar with pickup location issues but I do know sending money is DEFINITELY not an issue....thanks money gram and Walmart! But they only allow one transaction per week....awful.

After downloading this app, I was hoping for a nice and smooth transaction. Well that is the complete opposite of what youd be getting if you download this app. Horrible way to send money. Very long Process and also very stressing when youre in a hurry. First transaction took a while but was alright. By my second transaction to the SAME GUY, they said that they couldnt verify my bank account info! Do not recommend downloading AT ALL!!!

One of the worst apps ever

Not sure why there is such negative comments. I pay my mortgage every month with it. Ive had to contact customer service once and it was my mistaken and it was quickly corrected. Anyway, works for me and makes it easier then going to the mortgage company site!

I give zero stars. Every time I try to use this app. It tells me I have to contact security. When I call the security department they just plain and simply say. We are refusing to send your money through the app youll need to go into a branch location. Im moving back to Wester Union theyre a little more expensive but way less hassles.
